This started as the Burnie Library and was fairly good with a wide selection of book topics and upstairs was a nice quiet area to study. Then it changed to the Burnie Linc and the new computer area downstairs attracted heaps of kids playing games which made a hell of a noise and upstairs became noisy with old people learning computers which I commend for their desire to improve themselves but it was impossible to work while listening to their "is it the right or left button to select", "I pressed delete and my file disappeared", "I saved it and now I can't find it" and my favourite "it scrolled off the screen and now I can't see it". Now they've renovated the place and it's back to being more like a library. The average IQ of the patrons has increased as I'm guessing games and social media have been restricted. I haven't seen upstairs yet but the bottom floor is now quiet enough to use for work. Now if only it can be open longer hours at night and on Sundays that would be perfect.
