After stressing out about 'Gender Studies' at Utas, we drove from Forth to enjoy a wonderful brunch. Leigh had delicious scrambled eggs (just perfect) and I really enjoyed my coffee and toasted sandwich in a what was a busy morning. The staff were polite and attentive. While Leigh was exploring his own concept of 'gender studies' by having a pair of silky knickers under his old Levies, I wondered when we would be back at 'The Chapel' for another lovely light meal

The team have transformed this old church into a house of coffee, eggs and bacon. And if that wasn't enough, you can play hipster bingo while you're here: keep your eye out for sustainability friendly toilet paper, water from beer taps, payment services integrated with keep cups, trendy baristas, old pews turned into seating, orders being taken on mobile devices, not to mention the usual fare of laboratory inspired cold press coffee machines.

Amazing cake, superb breakfast, lovely coffee in a really special atmosphere with outstanding staff. Try the Camembert, pesto and caramelized onion muffin, so yum!

This cafe would not look out of place in a grafittied Melbourne laneway, and that's a good thing.

Only reason for 4 starts rather than 5 is my coffee was burnt. Barista needs training. Otherwise, I would recommend it.

The food isn't bad either. Would brunch again.

On our last day in Burnie, our group decided to try the Chapel: we'd driven past it several times already, and seen its giant coffee cup calling out to its parishioners.

Modern cafe set in an old chapel. Small, well done menu. Good atmosphere.
